A mix of aromatic traditonal ingredients. Gramas Sambar Powder enhances taste & flavour of your sambar. It is homemade style, No artificial preservatives or colours used.
Instructions to make Sambar
1 cup toor dal (split yellow lentils) 2/3 chopped onions, 2 chopped tomatoes, 8/10 garlic pods, chopped coriander and curry leaves, 3/4 green chilies, half tsp fenugreek seeds, half tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, salt, (tamarind juice optional) 2/3 tsps cooking oil, water as per desired consistency, pressure cook all this together for about 4/5 whistles.
After the steam is released, mash the dal, add chopped brinjal/drumsticks or any vegetable of your choice that goes well with sambar, now add 2 tbsp of” Gramas Sambar Powder” and cook the vegetables.
Seasoning: Heat about 5 tbsp of cooking oil, add half tsp mustard seeds, curry leaves, few whole red chilies and 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, once tempering is done, mix it in the sambar, boil for a few minutes, garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and Enjoy your homemade Sambar.
